Sonic: The Hero

My Macbook was busted recently, and with it my printer, scanner and tablet became useless desk ornaments... it's fixed now thank god, but whilst it was broken I did some more traditional pencils and ink sketch work, and as usual in my fits of frustration, I drew Sonic (and a couple of his pals).

This design differs a fair bit from my old one, I went for a loser feel to his look, more my sort of style, a full running suit (rather than just the trousers/pants) and ditched the markings. I'd love to design a full game around this Sonic, I'd like to give him a suit that alters his powers as it changes colour - a red suit that increases his strength (given by Knuckles) and orange suit that increases  his jump height (Tails) etc - but we'll see how it goes.
